Introducing Human Egg Reconstitution In Vitro Fertilization
HER IVF is a revolutionary technology designed to reverse the effects of age on human oocytes and repair certain cellular defects. HER IVF, also called Nuclear Transfer or 3-Parent IVF, is the process of removing DNA-loaded spindles and their nuclear environment from a patient oocyte (egg) with the goal of replacing the nuclear contents inside a donor oocyte (egg). Successfully replacing the nuclear contents inside the donor oocyte (egg) reconstitutes it into a genetically identical, healthy donor egg (98.9% identical). After the reconstitution is complete, in vitro fertilization may occur.
Under the most ideal situations, DNA can survive for a maximum of one million years. Since age doesn’t affect the quality of DNA directly, HER IVF replacement techniques may result in a patient oocyte (egg) that is decade’s younger in age than the patient herself—prolonging natural fertility. During transfer, elective selection of cytoplasm carrying healthy cell machines allows us to prevent maternally transmitted diseases, like Mitochondrial Disease, in an unprecedented way.
